"I used to see them going along the road with their little white dog, so we knew them from that respect."
this is from bbc news article that I have lost, an elderly couple in sheltered accommodation died in a fire started by
I liked the mention of the white dog, and the "so we knew them from that respect" -- I don't know what is being communicated in that last bit, something of a hopeless gesture, I think it requires a specific hand motion we do not have the access to see.
There was another article I wanted to quote from, a father who killed his daughter in his car (she was also in the car), I forgot to save this, and the mother described how she saw him out the window of the living room driving past while making a strange expression, bemused, jolly, I am sorry not to be able to quote from that bbc news article (and I would have provided a quote too).
And this reminds me of a Current93 song, "A car sweeps by/ with a desecrated girl" something like that, and it was suggested in the Wire magazine probably, was a reference to the "soham murders"
Here has been some news.
this is the other news article I mentioned, about the father and dead daughter in car.
