figurine -- 002

emperor guard, with pale taller-than-emperor-guard rod thing accessory

- one was not enough, as they need to flank doors and the emperor if you had him, but he was just an old man figure

- wrapped in crimson felt, soft as your mommy

- too handsome for melee play, outside expedition (beach/soil/sandpit) &tc

- for display purposes, with hoped-for partner, like lovers that preen when they are together, it is disgusting

  1. These were my favourites. Silent sentinels. With lovely velour cloaks. And the visor-esque strip of black. In fact, I like masked creations in general, like G.I.Joe Ninjas (Storm Shadow), and Mask itself. And Lego motorbike helmets. Black visors. Hidden. Often tried to peel off, but there was nothing underneath. Just emptiness. A helmet on no head.
But yes, these guards were great. I don't think I had one. But all of my Star Wars stuff (not a lot at all) was passed down from sibling. I had some kind of annual, and the cover (or maybe the back) Had the emperor flanked by two of these. I liked their colour: vermilion.

  2. "A helmet on no head" -- good phrase.

helmet became a swear word or at least some component in matters of verbal abuse
