- in the interval one wonders about:

-- the use of "one thinks", "when one" &tc, in translated european fiction, shows how much britain is mired in anxieties about class, "one" simply doesn't write "one ...&tc" without thinking of butlers and resentment of privilege, and so on -- "and so on" also being a phrase common in translated literature. There is in fact a common phrase (it may be this very one just gone) that connects Jens Bjornboe to any modern-ish japanese author translated into english, later I will lay my finger on it. It is a case of translation-ese.

-- the solo haino keiji live one attended 21st February, in 'eM seven' on the tokyo/chiba meeting-point. Clearly a tribute (or 'requiem' as one japanese blog put it) to departed fushitsusha bassist -- because 1/ apparently he said so to said japanese blogger, & 2/ its sheer loudness from the beginning, meant it to be heard in the after-world -- it made one think of what fushitsusha is supposed to mean -- 不失者 , one without qualities, or, after a (very) extended meditation, one meets one's self/ oneself changed &tc -- and how this seems the best way to think of how 不失者 deconstruct 'rock music' (and psychedelia and all the othercomponents) til it doesn't know itself. -- 'know thyself' goes something, don't be so stupid, go the reply --
