conversation post -- earth hello

hello earth -- there have been two earthquakes in past 2 days. The earth has a gentle little shake and starts talking to me. How do you do, and so on. We do not shake hands.
The earth is not a human thing but it tolerates them.

I have discovered that the sensation of an earthquake can be replicated by sitting so that a strong pulse somewhere is near the floor. Sitting in such a position and being very sensitive.

Also the quake always seems perfectly suited to its occasion, it is a guest popping by sudden but sure.

Or live above a laundrette or a neighbour with a busy washing machine. But it is too loud.
