trance trance forever by 桜井まゆ sakurai mayu who killed herself at the minuscule age of 18, after writing her little book. I knew about this book because the cover illustration is by the kaikaikiki artist takano aya. Mio used to work with that lot. She shall spill the beans, eventually.
the cover illustration in its entirety:

18. That's very sad.
ReplyDeleteHow is the book itself?
The Japanese attitude towards suicide is surely unique in global terms? Though I did read about an island off Australia / New Zealand that apparently has the highest rate of suicide. Natives with no prospects and only drugs and alcohol. Actually, suicide is very prevalent amongst native peoples. Understandable really.
I went to the site with the faces, though I am a little unsure due to the language. What exactly is going on? Very clever. Look like nothing at first. Eyes have to adjust to see it all.
says mio : it is too personal and asking for help, and I could only get half way through . . . I will try again one day, perhaps I will have different perspective...
ReplyDeletetrance trance forever is a hyper good title
