once thought of a dance/theatre duo "work"/ a couple are never allowed to see the other, so actions are performed as tho together but in a dance-like manner always managing to avoid being seen. This marvelous odd marginal idol duo video almost approaches. They act as if not quite human or now&then, their humanity is occasional. Then they play!

I had this suspicion all along, and confirmed it yesterday, duo is "おとといフライデー” "the friday 2 days ago" & indeed March 11th 2011 (earthquake/tsunami) was a (very memorable friday) (in fact I can't remember anything about years i.e. 2010, 2009. 2011 has cleaved through my memory) And that would therefore be (the band name) representative of 13th March 2011 which I may be wrong but I am sure that is when the explosions at the nuclear reactors occurred . . . I watched live on TV, some kind of metal plate went far far up in the air, and later in tokyo in a school round the corner plutonium was found on some sports equipment (or tarpaulin covering said sport equipment) that had been outside for the duration of this "event"

if this is not a coincidence (what other memorable fridays are a 11th March?) then this is further proof (for my little theory) that marginal idol-units and the break down of barriers between the pre-2011 underground and idol subculture was due to this agglomeration of events.

As to why exactly, that is a little harder to consider, but think, two natural disasters accompanied by a human-made(or "readied") one. That is a true EVENT.

If I could first answer the question: why are Oyasumi Hologram so good? I may get closer to managing to say what I have to say re: translation &c (and they are "so good" -- I will fight whoever disagrees.)

So, if for example, someone solves the riddle of the recent-ish song "MOTHER" -- why the Japanese lyrics are not the lyrics sung - the lyrics sung are in English and do not relate to the Japanese lyrics, though the Japanese lyrics do relate to the video itself . . ? (&,watching the video and listening the song and reading the lyrics almost become three separate things, or like a muttering "other" -- it is an odd sensation)

I think I wrote in 4th novella (as yet, highly unavailable!) something like "un-rung bell colour"

then this shows up in the above-mentioned //

& I have been making an "effort" to integrate hints of marginal-idol units into my novellas (as well as of late, or maybe since long ago, I can't remember: The Fall lyrics)

for example, novella number 5 has "perfect area all complete" which is halfly from a song by an actual idol,not a marginal idol unit. Do I contradict myself? Yes, &c //

was reminded of video games in the above near idol song quote/borrowing. "no-miss clear" / in my earlier years I used to think "no-miss" meant you did not miss killing enemy, but it means you avoided yourself being killed, by enemy . it is mostly impossible to kill all enemies.

Anyway, can someone with synethesia chime (!oops) in and say what an un-rung bell colour is/ I am thinking: blueish-grey/ similar to some bird's egg (heron?) though not speckled . . . is synestesia a universal thing, or on an per-individual thing. So is it not mere imagination at unconscious (before deciding to imagine) layer?

It is hard to think of what the point is, 2000-plus years too late sort of, after the christian ravishing of pagan sacred sites and events &c . . . Jack Spicer "a substitute as christ was a substitute" or something, I can't remember, metaphor, passing a-"cross". Anyway . . .

2/She is learning french; when I mentioned something, now I can't remember, Algeria maybe, or you know, colonisation in general, she had a moment of aggrievement. or about decapitated Antoninette &c. I have not seen the film. For some reason I thought Scarlet-thingy was in it, but it is spider-man's girlfriend, and I saw a trailer, featuring spider-man's girlfriend, in blue tinged lace stockings, so there need be no more deliberation over seeing this film. The matter is settled and it will be seen. Simple, really. Let them eat cake. There was a J-poppal blog-post, kanpera no suiyobi, what is a kanpera, I always forget. suiyobi is wednesday, a well-balanced day of the week. Why is it specifically a wednesday, this kanpera thing. If I look it up, will I know. It is impossible to know prior to looking up the word "kanpera" -- to be honest, I don't imagine this matter will be easily settled.

Know I remember the other french thing, that caused aggrievement, I mentioned the little bird, the people put a cloth over their head and suck the cheeks from the little bird. That rattled her somewhat.

And then we are going to watch the Battle of Algiers film for further rattling.

Truffle-Geiger, further adventures of, + all else.



The "Truffle-Geiger" trooped around the place in search of something (lost time) or just excercising I don't know. It showed much interest in the bottle of whiskey (cheap stuff, mainly for hot toddy, this season full of sniffles) -- I upturned a medicine cap and put an antennae-sized drop. It trooped around the cap from all aides and probed with antennaes speculatively and then seemed whoozy and half on its side, antennae weaving as in a dream. Then a dice had inadvertently become immersed in some spilled stout; I placed this dice and it came of its sleepy dream and again speculated with antennae. Then began striding around atop a translation-in-progress print-out. I feel we shared a little moment, and if we never meet again, we will recall of each the other with good happy regard and tears will stream.
That was a bit of life then. . .

I have ceased striving, if I ever did (strove, I mean). I may have strided once or twice. I straddled a wall once or twice, to climb over it. Otherwise no. September 17 2016, it was written on a memo on the wall (not any wall I straddled, there is a ceiling &c) (a home all) "(my name) ceased to strive, sept 17, 2016 -- Consider it a gesture, political, against the tories, if you want. It seems to be working, they are crumbling apart. If I had said it three time (ceasing to strive x3) it may have had a quicker effect, but you must be careful with spells.

In times of this un-event let us wither in peace and quiet.

Whiskey means "water of life" in Irish. If the manga "the five star stories" was translated into Irish would the "water of life" related to the dragons be translated as "whiskey"? Or would that confuse things?

I found in my notebook something I had written, at myself, in red pen, a few pages, directives on translation. I don't remember writing this. probably translation shouldn't have too many directives. Do what works well. Whether it is complicated, or simple. Don't mind that things may seem impossible.
So there is a sort of striving going on.

But anti-government.

In just two years or something the marginal-idol unit shoujyo kakka no international released a "one coin"(500en) single, a 4-track EP, a "first & last single" (so what was the previous one?) and a full 15-track (though tracks 1+15 are sort of short) album, then a last "one-man" live, (a friday ago) (one-man=no support act, I used to think meant just one person from a band would be appearing. . . and there is no "one-woman" . . . my advice, don't worry about these things, live & learn.

少女閣下のインターナショナル = well, the email of management said "his excellencies international young girls`&c" I think but I tend to prefer to think of "her majesties", and maybe I prefer to think of "setsuko hara" the reclusive once film star of Ozu films, and them being ghost emissaries of her spirit. This fits the filmic content/imagery of the music, that references Plan 9 from Outer Space/ Hitchcock / &, erm, Kevin Bacon (?), and kaiju films also.... essentially a chaotic paradigm, the music would involve maverick transitions, people talking over people singing, sudden outbursts, "that cover" (smell like teen . . . ) walking into walls repeatedly, maybe a reference to that old silent japanese film "pages of madness", asylum-like clothing co-ordination, all combined by some miraculous oversee-ing structure that parodied a shambles. To reference two other marginal-idol units, somewhere between BELLRING and escalator or elevator.

I don't want to see their like again, I want to see THEM again (another filmic reference, in fact) (film about giant ants)

少女閣下のインターナショナル was so rare a thing, approx 300 people drank at their fountain at their last live. (or drank cocktails named after songs, each drink accompanied by a poloroid (chaki)(what is origin of this word?)(it is name of the camera, a mini-dinky-little thing, the photo is taken with)

I am quite moved and don't know what to do with myself for a while now.

a prior statement/hypothesis, all idol-units, however marginal, come to cohere at stages in the song, usually the end, plus the chorus, but sometimes the chorence, I mean it comes and goes, a weaving is going on in each idol-unit song.

1st song and it's video discussed was it here: http://malale.blogspot.jp/2015/04/hasten-jpopal-authority-001.html it has become familiar to me now. I miss the utter un-knowing that persisted for quite a while. I hope you enjoyed a similar feeling for a period, or was it just me?

2nd song , the most "idol" , with coherence to start with then some electronica subverts but subsequently itself subverts with most typical (on this EP) idol melody, for a while. Then also it sort of goes out of tune only to regain coherence picking up the dual-subversions in the meantime. and is now almost my favourite, its dislocations thus allowing it subsequently to do what the hell it wants.// drum&bass, school-bell (school opening melody)(or is it lesson change signifier), then the coherence which is at same time a de-coherence cohered as though E Pound's the Cantos where finished and cleared of fascist thought. Wow, that's a second song on a little EP of a marginal (at the time) idol unit!

3rd song . . . immediate electro melodic verse, then feel the chorus strenghtens only to drift off then srenghten again, until maybe the real chorus, like a statement (are all chroruses statements?) no sometimes just there for sake of having a chorus, in music etc, I like this disruptive, "chorus"-or-not, I like when there is no chorus, or it's only at the very end.
A call and response something transmute to an end with applause installed.

4th song . . . choral lines and harpischord somewhat then electric bass pulse ctaherdal-interior-somewhat,
more of a solo piece, for the beginning at least, then . . .
builds up with muted drum machine papapapapa// like a slight patter-glitch(it is slow like cathedral is slow to build) and the other members enter, ta ta ta and chordal slow melodies, naturally we expect a build up from beginning, that begins nice and late, and the variety of voice-tone is nicely collaged (like a stained glass window shimmering with fickle autumn light!) and it has a great finality to it. The cathedral is built. Attend it.





Escalator or Elevator - Entrance Ep

--(I don't either, know the difference)

this is a duo collobaration between a member of yurumerumo and bellring, both marginal for the moment idol units.

there is a (non-flinch-worthy) rap aspect to the beginning of the first song, then it coalesce to a reasonably normal chorus, though with a perfect sort of nonchalance only likes of "the fall" could pull off. Or a nirvana without heroin and they are girls around 20 and cuteness but also a sort of stubbornness are praiseworthy traits.

the other song (there are only two) has a wonderful broken off-tune vocal of one, then replaced by the other, until they form a chorus supplemented with electric synth, and "yabe~~", which has become a catchphrase in this household . . . this is like if you were 16 and had access to depas and some drink and the world looked like is about to blind you / a sort of Elaine Radigue piece compressed to 4 minutes of girls singing and strange sounds and they sing like they care then don't then do again. Like playground frolic during this anthropocene.

These are all treasures of the last year just passed, musically speaking.

implications: to become an idol, is to take on an identity and suicide yourself (death by producer, the own clothes group-fun (shopping) mid-section, then the resurrection (in idol uniform(=uni-form, un-self i.d.) (then death again, it is implied) (what if there is nothing but bardo between bardo?) (and to become an idol one must be aware one day one shall not be an idol, a limited period identity only)

mirrors: marginal (地下) idol development over past few years (I want to argue 11th March 2011 as the trigger(this argument will be developed in a later post, I promise) BiS = idol is dead, now resurrected by yurumerumo (who are possibly soon to be not 地下, they are moving above ground (地上アイドル!)

I found in Beckett's "from an abandonded work"(1956) what may be his first declaration re: his propensity for white, which we shall see later in works like ping, lessness etc

plus, I received confirmation of meaning of schimmel from an actual german person. Interestingly, the origin derives from the word for "mould" as in the whiteish stuff grows on decaying things,

and I was reminded at the same time halllejuhah of a j-pop video that seemed to express the same thing - she paints the world white. It is not the full video, in case you don't like it. It is the voice actress of Madoka from you know . . . .

i am "warming" to the new ゆるめるモ song, after worrying a bit about their chosen trajectory. or is it just because they are in school uniforms?

or that "my favourite one" (the leader I assume) had dyed her hair somewhat reddish? no brownish only, and it suits. (the one in the red skirt, maybe to signal her seniority)

and that in the end they enter a rocket and appear to be escaping a meteor shower that is to end the world?

perhaps a combination of all/// oh! and they enter a shop with no lights on and stock up, for end of the world, that is a reason to like it . . . also, their building a rocket, is a bit like at the end of film "melancholia", but with a happier result (a marginal idol unit is now in space, the survival of humanity is guaranteed at least for a little while) (anyway, note continuation of the "journeying to space" imagery/concept) (this -- continuity -- must be worth something)

it sounds better loud actually. and the one w. blonde hair has dyed her end bits pink, and has white hair ribbons. Where can you buy hair ribbons, by the way, I have always wanted to know . . . ?

and we are reminded of "setsuden", when after the nuclear meltdowns, the convenience stores lowered their lighting. It was nice.

I have been granted permission to post another image was intended to promote the readercon event etc, so I shall. And then what. There is a recording of the you tube of a "panel" (concerning shld you answer reviews &c -- my opinion, sometimes why not, but maybe without fury &c -- I would like the opportunity, I have scant reviews) I felt it was an interesting panel. One day I want be on a panel but I think I'm in the wrong country and not esteemed enough. Also I lack self-esteem, as in zero/null. Though with some pernod, who knows. and benzodiazapnes (one day, learn to spell this word)

I like to see a good use of colour but a colour-lack is always finely acceptable.

I enjoyed watching the panel about responding to reviews, while slowly

サッ! today's j-pop may differ from previous as that was mainly idol things wasn't it, marginal idol, yes, mainly the point is they are units of some size, from I think 6 members, to 2 members. Now we have an all by herself musician (I am having a feeling it may once have been a duo) but these are by herself, and the live footage I have seen on the youtube is herself, with laptop she operates herself, like merzbow nowadays or last time I saw him anyway, which was not nowadays, it was many moons ago, in fact.

The other difference is maybe this jpop I have selected is not necessarily "marginal", she may have acquired some success already.

this song is a history lesson of sorts. About Marie Antoniette. I didn't watch the recent film that was maybe popular here. I didn't realise it had spiderman's girlfriend in it. the main point is the "let them eat cake", in french " Qu'ils mangent de la brioche " and in the japanese here in this song as at 2:39 the kind of twist to the song "お菓子を食べればいいじゃない" which has now become a catchphrase of sorts in this little household . . .

also the feeling that marie antoniette may have been genuinely well-meaning in her statement, not of course knowing much about the world of poverty, she didn't I think reach the age of the buddha for example to start questioning things enough, or did she, they don't teach her in english schools, and I haven't seen the film, and the anime series was shown only in every other european country excepting england, because england wants to be america, and america didn't show all the series that europe showed, though they did something strange with a triad of series to make something called "robotech", but even that wasn't shown in england. Like right at the start she stands in street looking half-or-just-a-third wasted somewhat? No? With a merriment in any case? I guess that's a good way to go about things? from 2:26 is when the pressure-joy sets in, and it seems a celebration of shibuya, in one sense, and restauraunt discount coupons, in another sense?

This song is less historically-resonant as far as I can tell. It may be a celebration of shibuya? it is a better place than shinjuku, by all means, let it be known.

So now we have three floor cushions (zabuton) (座布団) (...again with the floor cushions, we once had two, but my wife-woman's little bother burnt his appartment down, and came to stay here, and reader, we lacked extra pillows, so one floor cushion became customaryily used night after night for his pillow, and then when he got a new appartment, the sleeping futon, and the floor cushion (i.e. za-futon, fu become bu, just because) za, as in "zazen" dear zennist-readers) (the "za" from "suwaru" 座る verb: to sit -- try not to confuse with "sawaru" "触る" verb: to touch, can lead to awkward moments -- this has been a japanese lesson, for free, and I have managed to confuse myself) -- so he got a futon and a zabuton --

Ideal ideal song, after listening, unhummable, during listening, same, need another go. Seems to evade. No immediate "ear worm". One more go, can't quite see the structure. Can't interioally reconstruct song in isolated head/disposability of pop // coalesce at the moment of play only / otherwise unhummable in memory / uncatchable perfect pop" I always like the songs you can't quickly hum in your head, in fact, the songs a little bit of which seems to snag in your musical memory yet how it came to be (the little song snag) or how it continues, eludes you/me. Rare to find a song like that, but that's where good to wallow, figure the song (it's parts, and flow, how it works) // may end disapointed with how it all went down// I took too long with this so now what I noted isn't (but in any case I have come to the conclusion: "yurumerumo" ゆるめるモ are quietly wonder-ful)  initial thoughts were: (with just-now "are" impositions)

yurumero supposed to make ep as tribute or homage to suicide the somewhat-what no-wave or prior to that unnamed era? so I listened in attitude of search to the suicide (happily available here)(no legal complications my friend, I merely lent you my copy, we sprawled on some sort of converted tressle contraption accommodating our tired bits and plush cushions supported our alert listening factors -- just to figure this all out while it seemed important). Some initial atmospheric tone is evident but more like a glancing touch in saying "inspiration" -- and that's far well and OK.

the best cover is a defamiliarisation. I'm sure we are all agreed. one reason "aihiyou" was a supreme unit, there was faith shown to the original in the willingness to go far and unidentifiably out distant unabashed re-configuration to the nth . . .

upon listening with overlay of my such listenings so's now I am talking with a basis-ish of knowledge: second suicide song definite is a thing appear! its mulch synth swell! a glance at least -- it's nice to get some connections going/

yurumerumo currently has strong core seems to if not resist managerial directions, absorbs and alters then in perfect receptive active period -- may not last long -- catch quick/ now there's a new song, I feel it isn't good. Already the thing I say is good, because it can't be hummed, and then, over the time I took, became hummable, is superseded by new more prim package

Which is pop in any case, it moves on. Don't get too involved!
